The U.S. Army Blues "Pershing's Own" Jazz Ensemble, based at Ft. Meade in Washington D.C. will be performing two concerts at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio on Friday, February 6, 2009.

The first concert is at 10am in Mees Auditorium on the Bexley, Ohio campus. The concert is followed by a series of sectional clinics at 11am. This event is open to Capital University students and any other schools that wish to attend. Seating is limited and will be reserved on a first-come first-served basis. The evening concert begins at 7pm, also in Mees Auditorium on the Bexley, Ohio campus. The Capital University Big Band under the direction of Dr. Lou Fischer will open the show, followed by a powerhouse set by the Army Blues! Tickets are FREE but a ticket is required. To reserve as many tickets as you wish, call 614-236-6411. Tickets will be held at the Conservatory office until the day of the show. They will be made available for pickup beginning at 6pm. Doors open at 6:30pm.
