Clinic/Performance FAQ
FAQ’s about Your Conference Performance/Clinic (UPDATED February 5, 2010): |
| We are looking forward to your participation in the upcoming First Annual JEN Conference at the University of St. Louis, May 20-22, 2010. Here are a few things you should know: |
|
Where should we stay while in St. Louis attending the Conference? The Hilton Airport St. Louis is the Official Conference Hotel. Shuttle service will be provided to and from the Conference from this hotel. Please log onto the JEN website and click through to book housing as soon as possible, pursuant to your agreement to stay in the official conference hotel in the submission materials. |
How long is my performance/clinic time? All clinics and/or performance slots are fifty (:50) minutes MAXIMUM in length. We recommend you plan on forty-five minutes to be safe. A room monitor will be assigned to keep everyone on time throughout the conference. |
When should we plan to be in St. Louis?Answer: At this time, we suggest you earmark the entire three days for potential scheduling. |
I have a conflict and can only perform on one day that weekend, who should I tell?Should you have a specific request for a certain day during the conference, we need to hear from you now in order to finalize the program grid. |
When will we know for certain the exact scheduling of my/our performance/clinic?Answer: An email was sent out on February 15 with detailed information in this regard. If you did not receive it, please let us know at info@JazzEdNet.org. |
When do you need names of personnel in my ensemble for registration credentials?A link was provided in the February 15th confirmation email. If you did not receive that email, please let us know at info@JazzEdNet.org |
Where do I find the link you mention to turn in credential information?
|
What if I need to change personnel in my ensemble? You may log on at any time after the link has been provided and change your personnel if required, but no later than May 1st, 2010. |
I checked several items on my submission form related to what I need to perform my concert/clinic. May I assume those items will be there?Items will be provided for your performance/clinic as you indicated in your submission form when you applied to present at the conference. However, our plan is to ask you to update that ra/v and backline request in February so we do not miss anything you will need to present or perform. |
I just thought about this and I will actually need an LCD projector, a CD player, a piano & bass amp in order to present my clinic! I did not indicate this on my submission form but I assume this will not be a problem right?Last minute changes may not be accommodated. Any and all changes to your A/V backline, musical equipment submission must be made NO LATER than May 1, 2010. |
|
Thanks for your support of JEN and we look forward to having you perform at our historic first conference! |
